Sarah Ida Shaw Award

Recognized as stars of the collegiate circuit, Sarah Ida Shaw Award winners are known for their personal integrity and devotion to Tri Delta. These women are outstanding scholars, community leaders and heralds of Tri Delta's values and Purpose both within and outside of their chapters. The resulting impact she has on her community is often nothing short of astounding.

Winner: KATIE ROGER, Coe
Willetta Waisath, a current collegian at Coe, in her letter of recommendation for this year's winner, Katie Roger, Coe, writes, "I can't imagine our sisterhood without her infallible support, beautiful example and loving friendship, nor can I imagine encountering another woman as entirely unique as Katie. Katie always says that 'Delta means the world to her,' but I don't believe she recognizes that she means the world to us."

Quick Stats: 3.94 GPA, five chapter offices and chairmanships, five scholastic achievements, numerous campus leadership positions, including student body vice president.

 

First Runner-up: Claudia Winkler, Wofford
Quick stats: 4.0 GPA, six chapter offices and chairmanships, more than 10 scholastic achievements and numerous campus leadership positions, including Panhellenic president and delegate.

 

Second Runner-up: Emily Wade, Baylor
Quick stats: 3.96 GPA, four chapter offices and chairmanships, nine scholastic achievements and numerous campus leadership positions, including membership in the Student Foundation.

 

Third Runner-up: Anna Keegan, Colgate
Quick stats: 3.67 GPA, three chapter offices and chairmanships, 10 scholastic achievements and several campus leadership positions, including membership on the Colgate Newman Community and Board.
