Recognized as stars of
the collegiate circuit, Sarah Ida Shaw Award winners are known for their
personal integrity and devotion to Tri Delta.

These women are outstanding scholars, community leaders and heralds of Tri Delta's values and Purpose both within and outside of their chapters. The resulting impact these women have had on their communities is often nothing short of astounding.
WINNER
Kelsy Wermer, Toledo
Even a partial list of the achievements of year's winner, Kelsy Wermer, Toledo, is enough to impress:
- Recognized as 1 of 3 President's Club Scholars
- Tapped into Blue Key, recognizing the top 13 leaders on campus
- One of 40 inducted into Mortar Board
- One of 4 University Women's Commission scholarship recipients
- Volunteered 800 hours working with children at Camp Adventure
- Played an integral role in orchestrating the very successful "Hope for the Holidays" (http://www.trideltamusic.com/) CD, with all proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
In addition to the accomplishments noted above,
Kelsy maintained a 3.9 cumulative grade point average with a double
major of multi-age Spanish education/Spanish while serving as chapter
president, collegiate/alumnae relations chairman and four years on the
philanthropy committee. While serving as president, Kelsy led the
chapter to a 5-Star ranking on campus.
"She's an extraordinary person, and to watch her with the members is amazing," notes her alumna advisor. Her collegiate district officer adds, "Kelsy's dedication, commitment and passion for Tri Delta are her greatest strengths. She understands the lifetime commitment of Tri Delta, the importance of Ritual and leaving a legacy."
Says Kelsy: "I came to the University of Toledo
without all of my high school friends and my comfort zone, but quickly
gained a family of 75 amazing sisters that helped me reach outside of my
comfort zone and become the woman that I was meant to be. I don't feel
that joining Tri Delta has changed the person I am, but it has given me
the confidence to recognize my full potential."

Elizabeth Diane Todd, Transylvania

"When I look around at chapter meeting, I find
myself surrounded by women who are going to change the world, and I feel
so blessed to be among them," she says. "Every day I am thankful for
the love Tri Delta has shown me over the past three years."

"With Tri Delta, I was poured into, invested in
and given a foundation upon which to stand," she says. "Even on my
hardest days, I never had to cry alone, and on my best days I always had
someone to celebrate with. As members in Tri Delta, we live life
together and cherish the many friendships, opportunities and memories."
