Talk with your daughter to see if there is a chapter of Tri Psi that is involved with her Tri Delta chapter. If not, you may start your own chapter.  You can be a part of a chapter that is not directly involved with your daughters chapter, if there is one closer to the location you live at.

Starting a chapter is easier than you think.  You need at least 6 mothers in order to establish a new chapter.

If you are in an area where there is no chapter, and you are not able to start a new chapter, you can become a member at large.

Loans

Tri Psi offers loans to Tri Deltas entering or already enrolled in graduate studies. The $3,000 loans are offered at a two percent annual interest rate and must be repaid within five years. Applicants must complete a loan application and submit two letters of reference and two guarantors of the loan. Verification of enrollment in a graduate program is also required. To request a loan application, contact Sandy Simanton, chair, Psi Psi Psi Memorial Loan Fund at 2225 N. Marion Blvd, Tucson, AZ, Wichita, 85712.

Tri Psi Facts

  • Tri Psi was founded on October 2, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Tri Delta's founder, Sarah Ida Shaw, was also our co- founder and writer of the Tri Psi Ritual. 
  • She gave us the name PSI PSI PSI.
  • Our flower is the violet, mother of the pansy.
  • The sorority colors are green, gold and violet.
  • She wrote the PSI PSI PSI ritual which is a distinctly unique feature of the sorority and is very special to all Tri Delta mothers.
  • Our magazine is the TRIAD and is published every July.
  • Conventions are held annually and are open to any member of Tri Psi
The Tri Psi badge is pictured above. This badge, designed by Sarah Ida Shaw, was created to show the bond and connection to Tri Delta. The pearl at the top represents your Tri Delta daughter. Mothers with more then one Tri Delta daughter are known by the number of pearls in their badge, such as 2 or 3 pearl mothers.
