Academic Awards

As Tri Delta strives to "broaden the intellectual life" for its members, we recognize the importance of supporting collegiate academics. The Eileen Blain Rudolph Scholarship Award and New Member Academic Award, sponsored by alumnae chapters, both speak to that effort.

This award recognizes the member with the highest grade point average (GPA) at the end of her junior year. This award is given during the fall semester.

The New Member Academic Award
This award is given to the new member with the highest GPA at the end of the first semester she was a member.

These awards are sponsored each year by an alumnae chapter. Alumnae chapters may sponsor any collegiate chapter(s) not already sponsored by another alumnae chapter. This is a great way to promote collegiate/alumnae relations and highlight the importance of academics.

For more information about sponsoring a chapter award contact Liz Purdy Porter. For more information about the changes to these awards, effective Fall 2011 please read the Academic Awards FAQ.
