History of Tri Delta Extension

In the year after our founding, Delta Delta Delta began extension by adding a chapter in Iowa. By the first anniversary, there were three chapters located in three different states. By 1900, Tri Delta had grown from Alpha Chapter at Boston University into 18 collegiate chapters and six alumnae chapters.

That same year, the installation of a chapter at the University of California took Tri Delta to the west coast. Delta Delta Delta became international in 1930 with the installation of a chapter in Canada at the University of Toronto. Extension continues to be an important part of Delta Delta Delta. Each year Tri Delta receives an impressive number of inquires about establishing new chapters. These requests come from local sororities, interest groups, unaffiliated students, college/university administrators and loyal alumnae.
