Social Development Tri Delta’s social program is to provide members safe and appropriate ways to have fun together, to reinforce their bonds of friendship, provide members the opportunity to develop social graces, inspire respect for self and others, show appreciation for opportunities of sisterhood and lifetime membership, and provide an opportunity to gain knowledge that will be useful throughout life.
Tri Delta’s inCircle Tri Delta's inCircle is an online social networking tool available exclusively for members. This is a service provided at no cost to members of Tri Delta.
Intellectual Life
The Fraternity recognizes that education is the primary goal of the collegiate experience. The objectives of the chapter’s scholarship program are to provide opportunities for all members and new members to achieve full academic potential, emphasize academic excellence and career preparation, and establish challenging standards that will result in individual and group satisfaction in accomplishment.
Character and Responsibility
Member Development Initiative The Member Development Initiative was created to help Tri Delta to stay true to our purpose and develop our members in four very specific areas: Friendship, Intellectual Life, Character and Unselfish leadership. The ultimate purpose of this Tri Delta initiative is to generate meaningful conversations between sisters that enlighten each member and the chapter.
Kristin’s Story Kristin’s Story is a mother’s tale of her daughter’s rape and subsequent suicide. A vibrant Alpha Chi Omega, Kristin committed suicide shortly after she was raped by a friend in 1995. Her Tri Delta mother Andrea Cooper made the difficult decision to share her daughter's tragedy with college students all over the nation. The Alpha Chi Omega Foundation and the Delta Delta Delta Foundation each give 10 grants per year allowing 20 universities to present Kristin's Story on their campus.
AlcoholEdu Tri Delta has paired with Outside the Classroom to provide AlcoholEdu to all new members. AlcoholEdu incorporates proven prevention strategies with essential, science-based alcohol education. Providing an interactive, engaging experience, AlcoholEdu courses guide students to make safer, healthier decisions about alcohol. This program is provided at no cost to our collegiate chapters through a grant from the Delta Delta Delta Foundation.
Automated Payment Highway Automated Payment Highway (APH) is an online collection, budgeting, and bill management service designed to assist fraternities and sororities collect dues, budget funds and pay bills.
Accreditation Plan The purpose of the collegiate chapter accreditation plan is to help Tri Delta's collegiate chapters establish sound chapter management practices. This plan focuses on five major areas of internal collegiate chapter operations and includes minimum standards that each collegiate chapter should strive to achieve in those areas. The areas are: Financial Responsibility, Intellectual Life, Leadership and Collaboration, Member Recruitment and Retention and New Member Integration.
New Member Education All new members of Tri Delta participate in an 8-week new member education program. This program is designed to welcome new members to the Fraternity and to educate them on the history, traditions and responsibilities of Tri Delta membership.
Unselfish Leadership
Philanthropy Tri Delta chapters participate in at least one philanthropy project throughout the year. Tri Delta chapters are encouraged to support Children's Cancer Charities, but projects and charitable recipients vary from chapter to chapter.
Chapter Leadership Opportunities/Chapter Officer Development Tri Delta members are afforded many opportunities to enhance their leadership skills through a term as a chapter officer. Chapter officers are selected by all members of the chapter. |
