Becoming A Member of Delta Delta Delta
“Let’s found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of the girl’s inner self and character than of her personal appearance.” – Sarah Ida Shaw, founder
Because Delta Delta Delta is a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), it recruits new members under NPC's guidelines. The most common way to become a member of Delta Delta Delta is to participate in the formal recruitment (formerly known as rush) process. Please contact your campus Panhellenic office or Greek office for the dates of formal recruitment as well as how to register.
Tri Delta also offers potential new members the opportunity to participate in a process called continuous recruitment (CR). There are fewer Panhellenic rules for CR because it is an informal process. Chapter members might entertain potential members through a variety of activities, including but not limited to attending intramurals, participating in a community service or philanthropy event, helping with a homecoming event or watching television or a movie at the chapter house. For more information about CR opportunities on your campus, please contact your local panhellenic/student affairs office.
How Tri Delta Alumnae Can Help Do you know an outstanding woman you would like to recommend for membership into Tri Delta? If so, please be sure to write a reference for her! You can find a copy of Tri Delta's reference form on the Deltas Only side. On the private side, visit the resources and forms section where you will be able to either download the file or open it using Microsoft Word. There also is an updated listing of collegiate and alumnae chapter reference chairman contacts available. |
