It is hard to believe, but Convention time is fast approaching. This year’s Convention finds us in our kind of town: Chicago, Illinois. Since a number of proud Tri Delta milestones coincide with this 53rd Convention year, the theme is “Magnificent Milestones,” after Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. We hope you’ll join us in the windy city and create a Tri Delta milestone of your own.
The chief purpose of Convention is to conduct Fraternity business. Official alumnae delegates are encouraged to be a part of the decision-making process by voicing their opinions and voting on important issues. To ensure that your chapter is represented at business meetings, each chapter should send at least one official delegate to Convention.
In addition to your registration form, it is necessary for you to complete the credentials form. If your chapter is able to send more than one member to represent your chapter, those members should be designated as an alternate delegate. In the event that the delegate will not be able to attend Convention, the alternate delegate will assume the position as official delegate. Executive Office should be notified immediately of any changes to the delegation. If you chapter will not be represented at the 2008 Convention, the credentials form should still be returned to Executive Office with a disclaimer stating there will not be a delegate from your chapter.
Please plan to arrive on: Wednesday July 2, 2008.
We are looking forward to our time together in Chicago! |
