“I will forever be indebted to you and Tri Delta for your merciful and compassionate gift. Your letter and the assurance of help in a desperate time was most uplifting. Amidst this nightmare your caring and that of Delta Delta Delta stand out as one bright and shining lamp of goodness and hope.” - Crescent Fund Recipient
The Crescent Fund, established during the 1950 Convention, provides assistance to Tri Delta alumnae in need. The Collegiate Crescent Fund, established in 2000, provides emergency assistance to Tri Delta undergraduates after their first year of membership upon experiencing an unforeseen crisis that might force them to withdraw from school.
The Crescent Fund and Collegiate Crescent Fund has granted more than $680,000 in confidential assistance to our members. The assets of the Crescent Fund were transferred to the Delta Delta Delta Foundation in 1988, thereby making all funds donated to the Crescent Fund or Collegiate Crescent Fund tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Crescent Fund
Originally designed to assist elderly members, the Crescent Fund adapted to meet the changing needs of alumnae of any age. Grants provide assistance with medical bills, food, legal fees and basic household expenses. There is no typical need or applicant for Crescent Fund assistance.
The Foundation is honored to share the story of one particular recent Crescent Fund recipient. Laura Laughlin, a newly married Tri Delta graduate of Missouri, was involved in a serious car accident on July 15, 2005. As a result of the accident, Laura sustained a traumatic brain injury. Sadly, Laura passed away in February 2007, but her story remains an inspiration to many. The Foundation feels honored to have helped this sister in a time of need.

Collegiate Crescent Fund
"Thank you! This grant helped meet my financial aid needs ... and I will be able to complete my senior year." - Collegiate Crescent Fund recipient
The Collegiate Crescent Fund provides emergency assistance to Tri Delta undergraduates after their first year of membership upon experiencing an unforeseen crisis that might force them to withdraw from school. Established in 2000 by a generous bequest from Sarah Shinn Marshall, Illinois, this fund enables Tri Delta to assist collegiate members in need. Donations to the Collegiate Crescent Fund through the Delta Delta Delta Foundation are welcome to ensure the fund can grow to meet the needs of our members.
Collegiate Crescent Fund applications are accepted throughout the year and awarded as a one-time emergency grant. To qualify, the applicant must have completed her first year of Tri Delta membership and demonstrated a financial need. Crescent Fund grants may not be applied to pay dues, house bills or fees to Delta Delta Delta.
If you are a Tri Delta collegian in need, or know a collegiate member in need, the Collegiate Crescent Fund is available to offer assistance.
