EndowmentsFoundation Gifts

The Tri Delta Foundation, through its strategic planning process, identified four critical funding areas. By providing support in these areas, the Foundation is able to fulfill its mission to fund the Fraternity's educational and philanthropic programs. To maximize on the return of donor support in these areas, the Foundation created four endowed funds. A donation to an endowed fund is invested to perpetuate Foundation grants for years to come. Only the interest earned from endowed funds will be used to support the Fraternity and assist Fraternity members in need.

The four areas of endowment are:

Scholarship
Education and Leadership
Crescent Fund
General/Operational

Planned Giving

Many Tri Deltas wishing to make a gift to the Foundation, have designated a planned gift to the Foundation. Upon doing so, they become members of the Foundation's Heritage Club. To download the Heritage Club form click here. Planned gifts to the Foundation may take the following forms:

  • Bequests - The most popular form of planned giving is a specific bequest made through a will or an estate plan.  A bequest may be made to a beneficiary, such as the Delta Delta Delta Foundation, in a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate or as a residual gift.

Sample bequest wording might read:  "I hereby give, devise and bequeath to the DELTA DELTA DELTA   FOUNDATION, a Texas non-profit located in Arlington, Texas, (the sum of $_____, or ___ percent of my estate, or the remainder of my estate when other bequests have been paid, or the following described property:  _____)."

  • Life Insurance - A gift to the Tri Delta Foundation may be made by naming the Foundation as the irrevocable beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
  • Charitable Gift Annuities - This enables the donor to make a gift of cash or other assets to the Foundation and receive income, capital gain and estate tax benefits. The donor establishes an annuity agreement gift with the Foundation and retains the right to receive life income payments from the gift. Upon the donor's death, the Foundation may use the remaining principal for charitable purposes.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts - A charitable remainder trust offers income, capital gain and estate tax benefits to the donor while creating a generous gift for the Foundation. Upon the donor's death, the Foundation receives the principal, or "remainder," of the trust for use in charitable purposes.
  • Charitable Gifts to Chapters- A gift made to a collegiate chapter or alumnae chapter may not be charitable.  Please, contact the Foundation Office to learn about charitable options.
  • Stock Gifts - A stock gift can be made at any time. It is requested that donors have their brokers contact Wachovia Wealth Management by calling 972-419-0357 to facilitate the delivery of shares of stock into the Delta Delta Delta Foundation account. Delivery instructions for stock gifts are as follows:
