New York City Alumnae Chapter

The top fundraising alumnae chapter for 2011-2012 is New York City Alumnae who raised more than $33,000 through their annual Stars and Crescent Evening & participation in the 2012 Give thanks. Walk.  This past year, more than 260 Tri Deltas, young professionals, friends, and family gathered at the Bowery Hotel to commemorate Tri Delta/St. Jude month, with a variety of sponsors pitching in to make the night a success.

St. Jude Ambassador Award
Lisa Diskin, Toldeo

The St. Jude Ambassador Award recognizes the Tri Delta alumnae member that goes above and beyond in her support for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in terms of volunteering at non-Tri Delta St. Jude events, assistance with chapter fundraising events, exceptional personal fundraising.

The alumnae winner of the St. Jude Ambassador Award is a member who has been passionately supporting St. Jude for the past six years. She has been instrumental in the growth of her alumnae chapter's event and has served on her local St. Jude Give thanks. Walk committee, helping to raise more than $100,000. Besides being a vital element for the planning and execution these events, she volunteers at the WFLS Country Cares Radiothon and the St. Jude Gourmet Gala in Washington, DC.

Alexis Sink, Cincinnati

Alexis was very instrumental as a board member & volunteer for the 2012 Cincinnati Give thanks. Walk.

She served as a member of the event/logistics sub-committee. She attended nearly every committee meeting, always bringing new ideas and contacts for recruitment/sponsorship efforts. On the day of the event she helped set up, pick up food/coffee donations, worked registration and helped tear down. Her St. Jude Rep said "I could always count on her to be my "go to" person in the event that I needed a trustworthy committee member to run an errand, represent St. Jude, prep a sponsor, etc. She is very professional and a wonderful advocate for St. Jude."
