Alumnae Roll Out the Red Carpet for St. Jude

Tri Delta is so proud to see alumnae members and chapters support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The groups below hosted galas and silent auctions in their areas. These events are a wonderful way to share Tri Delta's St. Jude partnership with friends and family members. Thanks to outstanding leadership and dedication from these alumnae members, these events were out of this world.

The Third Annual Gold Gala: An Evening for St. Jude was held on Feb. 22, 2014 at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. More than 500 of New York's young professionals attended the sold-out event and enjoyed the evening's raffle and silent auction. Entertainment was provided by celebrity DJ Jason Smith.

The event celebrated the generosity of the young professional community, sponsors and more importantly, the mission of St. Jude.

The Third Annual Gold Gala was sponsored by Land Rover Long Island, which has remained the event's Title Sponsor since its inception in 2012. In total, the evening raised $108,000 for the children of St. Jude.

The committee is lead by two Beta Chapter alumnae, Samantha Levitan and Christina Strong, with the support of six fellow Beta members.

With more than 150 people in attendance and more than $27,000 raised, the inaugural Stars and Crescent Evening of Chicago was a huge success. All who attended had a great time eating, drinking, dancing and enjoying the Mardi Gras theme. There were amazing silent auction items and a Blackhawks ticket raffle that, together, brought in more than $7,000.

"It was unbelievably gratifying to see the event we'd been working on since June finally come to life," says Marissa Rose, Miami. "I couldn't get over the number of people who approaching Emily [Winchell] and I throughout the night to compliment us on putting together a wonderful event." Emily Winchell, Spring Hill, adds: "Throughout the process of planning for the Stars and Crescent Evening, it has been so heartwarming to see how many supporters of St Jude Children's Research Hospital we have in Chicago! I couldn't have pictured a more perfect and successful benefit. Marissa and I are so thankful for everyone who helped us achieve our goal of assuring that no child dies in the dawn of life!"

The New York City Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter hosted its fifth annual Stars & Crescent Evening for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on March 14, 2014 at the elegant Bowery Hotel. Guests enjoyed a spectacular evening with New York City's brightest young philanthropists and learned how they can join the movement to end childhood cancer.

The event featured light hors d'oeuvres from Floridita Restaurant (a Jerry Seinfeld NYC favorite), an exquisite silent auction and raffle to benefit St. Jude! Along with experiencing unique and exclusive food drinks, guests danced the night away with the fabulous DJ Brain who has continuously spinned and supported New York City Tri Delta's Annual Stars & Crescent Evening for St. Jude for the past three years.

Guests took a break from their dancing shoes to listen to the heartfelt words of New York City Tri Delta Alumnae Philanthropy Co-Chairs Nina Morato, Vermont, and Miranda Payan, Colorado. Both touched the hearts of their guests by highlighting Tri Delta's immense philanthropic achievements and reminded everyone that their contributions have opened the door to the difference between suffering and living for a child at St. Jude!

The evening wrapped up with raising $50,000 for the kids of St. Jude! VIP guests left ready to spring forward with their brightly colored tangerine gift bags — full of free, local NYC goodies and coupons — complementary from SCOOP NYC. The New York City Alumnae Chapter continued the celebration of reaching its fundraising goal through social media and shout outs. The guests and the New York City alumnae could not be more proud and are already looking forward to the sixth annual Stars & Crescent Evening for St. Jude!
