In September 2002, Tri Delta Executive Board members agreed to a four-year $1 million endowment for the hospital's Teen Room, which was completed in January 2005. However, due to the diligence and dedication of Tri Deltas, the endowment was completed in less than three years. Chapter members across the globe raised a total of $1.3 million in three years!
Fraternity President, Michelle Shimberg, shared Tri Deltas excitement at the endowment celebration that was held at the hospital in 2005. "Tri Delta is very pleased to complete the million dollar endowment which will fund the Teen Room at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Tri Delta collegians and alumnae have joined together to support the meaningful research and treatment which St. Jude Children's Hospital is providing for children and teens with cancer."
Tri Delta members have now agreed to a 5-7 year commitment of $7.5 million for the Patient Care Floor in the new Chili's Care Center.
