Mississippi State Housing Campaign

In response to the growth and success of our Beta Mu chapter, the Tri Delta National House Corporation has partnered with a group of dedicated Beta Mu alumnae to complete a multi-million dollar renovation of the Tri Delta chapter house at Mississippi State University. The renovation will significantly upgrade the learning environment for Beta Mu members by providing ample educational and meeting space, while thoughtfully enhancing the living space to accommodate the needs of today’s college student.

The Beta Mu house is currently home to 48 women. Following construction, the house will comfortably house 60 members – a much-needed addition for this thriving chapter. The project has been carefully divided into two phases of construction to minimize disruption and inconvenience for Beta Mu members.

The first phase, which was completed in summer 2015, consisted of a partial renovation of the dorm area, now containing fully renovated, spa-like bathrooms, as well as new study rooms.

The second phase of the renovation, scheduled to begin mid-September 2015, will address the chapter’s needs in the common areas. The “social wing” of the house will be completely torn down in order to add a third floor of officers’ suites and reorient the front façade of the house to face the main part of the Mississippi State campus. This new social wing will include adequate meeting space and the TV room, while keeping Beta Mu chapter library preserved. Finally, this second phase will also add an entirely new wing that houses a state-of-the-art dining facility (including a study café!), commercial kitchen, a new apartment for the house director, an alumna suite and a sparkling new chapter room that will accommodate approximately 300 members.

Dedicated space in the social wing will also honor Tri Delta’s ongoing partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the pivotal role that the Beta Mu Chapter has played in Tri Delta’s success.
