Dolphin Tank and Delta Demos
Education, Leadership | October 15, 2019

Tri Delta’s Collegiate Leadership Conference (CLC) 2020 will once again feature Delta Demos and Dolphin Tank! These two events are designed to highlight the creative successes of our collegiate chapters from across North America and provide an opportunity for chapters to offer ideas to enhance the Tri Delta member experience.

Through Delta Demos and Dolphin Tank, chapters will be able to share best practices, brainstorm new strategies and address challenges faced by college women.

Dolphin Tank
Dolphin Tank is a challenge to the entire Tri Delta membership to explore turning their ideas into an impactful endeavor designed to enhance the collegiate experience. Chapters’ officer teams are invited to share a structured pitch to a panel of judges comprised of Fraternity volunteers and offer ideas to enhance the Tri Delta membership experience. How would you engage with the Fraternity to address relevant issues, trends and changes in society which impact our collegiate members today? We can’t wait to hear your pitch and see who can swim in the Dolphin Tank!

Delta Demos
Delta Demos is a science-fair style event, providing chapters the opportunity to showcase examples of their current programming, operations, recruitment, public relations and marketing, and more. Does your chapter have a recruitment video they are proud of? We want to see it. Do you use OmegaOne in an innovative way? We want you to teach other chapter officers about it. Does your chapter host a stand-out program for your members? We want you to tell us about it.

During this event, CLC attendees will move from table to table, exploring a wide range of relevant topics and learn from chapters who are addressing them in a unique way.

Who should apply?
All chapters are encouraged and invited to submit an application to participate in Dolphin Tank or Delta Demos — or both! Tri Delta is seeking chapters that have:

  • Demonstrated a commitment to chapter and/or member growth and development
  • Embraced new and unconventional approaches to chapter initiatives
  • Reworked an aspect of chapter life
  • Addressed societal issues
  • Positively impacted the lives of members
  • Influenced non-members in a meaningful way
  • Creatively addressed a challenge
  • Modified the “basics” into something meaningful
  • Honored our Founders’ vision of being “kind alike to all”

How does my chapter apply?
Chapters are invited to apply for both events. Delta Demos will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Dolphin Tank will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23. If your chapter is selected for both Delta Demos and Dolphin Tank, the chapter is responsible for ensuring members are present at each event.

There is a separate application for each event so please ensure you submit them according to your chapter’s needs.

Submissions are due by Jan. 13, 2020.
