WORK SMART WITH TRI DELTA

Tri Delta is boldly leading the way by addressing important issues such as gender equity and barriers women face in the workplace. We are proud to partner with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to address these complex societal issues and take an important step toward closing the pay gap. AAUW’s mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.

AAUW Work Smart is designed to empower women with the skills they need to successfully negotiate their salaries and benefits. In every two-hour workshop you’ll gain confidence in your negotiation style through facilitated discussion and role-play and learn:

  • How to identify and articulate your personal value
  • How to develop an arsenal of persuasive responses and other negotiation strategies, including how to get a raise or promotion
  • How to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits
  • About the wage gap, including its long-term consequences

BECOME A PARTICIPATING CHAPTER

The AAUW Work Smart program requires a space that can host up to 40 women, an AV system with projector and screen and the ability to provide refreshments.

All chapters are invited to submit an interest form to be considered to participate in this program. Interested chapters should also review the AAUW Work Smart Workshop Implementation Guide.

Interest forms are due on Wednesday, May 15 by 11:59 p.m. CT. Questions about this empowering opportunity for Tri Delta alumnae can be directed to alumnae@trideltaeo.org.
