Margaret Paddock Haller Outstanding Collegiate Chapter
One of Tri Delta’s highest collegiate awards, it was established in 1994 in honor of past Fraternity President Margaret Paddock Haller, Cornell, to recognize chapters who have shown outstanding achievement throughout the past calendar year. Recipients of this award have demonstrated overall excellence among all aspects of chapter operations.

Winner: Alpha Eta Chapter at Florida State University
The committee was inspired by the high achievements from Alpha Eta in every awards category. This honor recognizes their exceptional member experience, fostering a strong, supportive sisterhood where members feel valued and empowered. Their commitment to community service shines through impactful philanthropy and volunteer efforts that make a meaningful difference. And their excellence in recruitment and retention reflects their ability to welcome new members with open arms while cultivating a thriving, engaged chapter. Their dedication embodies the very best of Tri Delta, and we celebrate their remarkable achievements!
Dr. Diane Petersen Commitment to DEIAB
This award recognizes a collegiate chapter’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access and belonging and honors a chapter that embodies the same brave, bold and kind spirit demonstrated by Diane and her Delta Upsilon sisters. It also recognizes the impact her membership and ongoing service as a trustee of Tri Delta’s Foundation has had and continues to have on our sisterhood.

Winner: Delta Xi Chapter at the University of Missouri
Delta Xi prioritizes DEIAB education by incorporating it into their work week training. They provide presentations on cultural awareness, respectful communication, unconscious bias and allyship, ensuring that all members are equipped to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment. Through efforts like the “Responsible Halloween Costume” presentation and the creation of visually engaging DEIAB resources, the chapter actively educates members on respectful representation and inclusivity in everyday actions. These initiatives help create a culture of awareness and accountability. They not only support Multicultural Greek Council events but are also expanding their DEIAB programming to include cultural celebrations, workshops, guest speakers and movie nights focused on diversity-related themes. These efforts strengthen their commitment to fostering an inclusive sisterhood.

Excellence in Community Relations
This award recognizes chapters committed to sharing the Tri Delta experience through effective public relations, marketing and media efforts both on and offline, reflecting a positive image of the chapter and Tri Delta brands while upholding the values of and positively contributing to the campus experience.

Winner: Epsilon Omicron Chapter at North Dakota State University
Epsilon Omicron values sisterhood and kindness on campus, in day-to-day practices and through their social media presence. Before the school year even begins, members commit 12-20 hours of their time to welcome incoming students, conducting campus tours and helping students adjust to their new environment, all while promoting Greek life. This chapter has seen incredible growth in their social media engagement, expanding from three platforms to six and increased their monthly interactions from 50k to over 107k. Their new platforms grow daily, extending their message of positivity and inclusion to the broader community. They actively engage with other Panhellenic and Greek organizations on campus through collaborative events that strengthen the reputation of Greek life. They participate in campus-wide traditions, Homecoming and Greek Week—fostering unity, camaraderie and a positive impact on campus

Excellence in Alumnae Connection
This award recognizes collegiate chapters who have demonstrated improved communication and transparency of chapter operations with local alumnae, the advisory team and regional volunteers to ensure an inclusive lifetime membership experience for the chapter and alumnae.

Winner: Beta Omicron Chapter at Illinois State University
Beta Omicron organized an alumnae career panel at one of their open chapter meetings. Local alumnae were invited to attend and answer questions, providing members with career and academic advice, as well as an opportunity to network. They worked incredibly hard to maintain strong connections with their alumnae, keeping them engaged and informed about everything happening in the chapter. Through a shared Facebook group, they actively communicated events, philanthropy initiatives, sisterhood activities and individual member achievements. They also hosted beloved traditions like Founders’ Day and Pansy Brunch to ensure alumnae remain involved. They achieved a significant milestone by setting the campus Panhellenic Total and credit their accomplishment to the support and encouragement of their alumnae throughout recruitment. We are so proud of you!

Excellence in Member Experience
This award recognizes chapters who embody Tri Delta’s Ritual, Purpose and values in chapter life and go beyond traditional Tri Delta programming to educate members on health, wellness and harm reduction. This award also recognizes chapters who promote opportunities for continued personal growth of members and chapter improvement to elevate the membership experience.

Winner: Alpha Eta Chapter at Florida State University
Alpha Eta Chapter takes a proactive approach to health, wellness and harm reduction, combining interactive workshops, peer-led discussions and facilitator-led programs to prepare members for real-world dangers. Their members have participated in self-defense training, hosted a Narcan administration workshop and have fostered honest conversations about substance abuse. They encourage members to embrace Tri Delta’s Purpose, Ritual and values by integrating them into daily interactions and chapter activities. They celebrate members who exemplify Tri Delta’s values through peer nominations and recognition called “Sarah Ida Shaw-ty of the Week” and honor sisters who go out of their way to practice kind deeds. They also host a senior fireside, where graduating members share their “Why I Tri” stories. During Delta Week, they emphasize the difference between hazing and Ritual while also engaging members in meaningful bonding activities.
This chapter has provided various personal and professional growth opportunities by giving members an early opportunity to take on responsibility within the chapter. They support professional development with free professional headshots, LinkedIn tutorials and major-based academic groups that allow upperclassmen to mentor underclassmen. Additionally, their career fair program highlights members involved in campus organizations, internships and jobs.
Every VP worked closely with their directors to document goals and create a plan for achieving them. They keep a pulse on their chapter through feedback forms and office hours, ensuring all members feel heard and invested in the chapter’s success. Through chapter shout-outs and special events, they recognize and celebrate both big and small achievements, creating a motivated and supportive environment where every member feels encouraged to thrive.

Excellence in Recruitment and Retention
This award recognizes chapters who have demonstrated improvements in recruitment and retention throughout the past calendar year. Recipients have emphasized the importance of a positive recruitment experience and have used innovative methods to ensure member retention from recruitment all the way through graduation.

Winner: Beta Omicron Chapter at Illinois State University
Beta Omicron implemented a thoughtful recruitment process rooted in self-reflection and authenticity. By gathering members’ personal experiences and values through a pre-recruitment workshop, they ensured meaningful and genuine conversations with potential new members, leading to stronger connections. Beyond recruitment, the chapter prioritized member retention by fostering connections through structured and informal sisterhood events. They also encouraged leadership development through officer retreats and involvement in campus organizations, ensuring members remained engaged and supported. Their intentional efforts resulted in notable achievements, including a rise from seventh to first in chapter size at their university and a high bid matching rate, with 57% of potential new members (PNMs) ranking them as their top choice after Preference Round. These outcomes reflect the chapter’s ability to attract and retain members effectively.

Excellence in Academic Programming
This award recognizes chapters that encourage and recognize excellence in scholarship for both initiated and new members by upholding chapter policies and bylaws, providing academic resources and support, and celebrating individual and chapter academic accomplishments.

Winner: Delta Mu Chapter at the University of Alabama
Delta Mu is proud of the strides they’ve made in promoting academic excellence and supporting their members’ educational journeys. They implemented several key initiatives this year including celebrating our members who make the President’s List (4.0 GPA or higher) and Dean’s List (3.5+ GPA) by highlighting them on their chapter’s social media platforms and rewarding them with Bama Cash, a popular incentive that can be used across campus. New members complete weekly study hours to build strong academic routines, with flexible options like the Tri Delta house, local coffee shops or the library, and the chapter hosts study snack events before exams to energize and motivate members. For members who may be struggling academically, tailored support is available, including tutoring, major-specific GroupMe chats and mentorship from upperclassmen in the same field. These resources help members find guidance, improve their performance, and succeed.

Excellence in Philanthropy
This award recognizes chapters for innovative and ongoing member education that emphasize the value of philanthropic giving. This award considers a chapter’s philanthropic efforts in support of Tri Delta’s Foundation, the fight against childhood cancer, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other charitable organizations, along with member involvement with other campus and community philanthropic efforts.

Winner: Alpha Beta Chapter at Cornell University
Alpha Beta demonstrated incredible dedication to philanthropy, surpassing expectations and making a tangible impact. This chapter doubled its number of philanthropic events this year, introducing new opportunities for members to get involved. Their semesterly clothing sale, featuring donations from members and the student body, has become a campus favorite.
They celebrated record-breaking fundraising efforts—setting an ambitious $25,000 goal for the year. They not only met but exceeded it, raising over $40,000 in just 24 hours during their 5K in a Day event. They shattered previous records, reaching their initial goal within just 12 hours.
They partner with organizations like Pi Kappa Alpha and Guiding Eyes for the Blind, expanding their philanthropic reach beyond Tri Delta, fostering meaningful collaborations that benefit the greater community. Through a strong commitment to St. Jude, members have embraced philanthropy as more than just a requirement—it’s a defining part of their sisterhood. Their dedication to self-sacrifice and giving back embodies the true spirit of Tri Delta.
Runner-up: Theta Gamma Chapter at the University of Oklahoma
Excellence in Community Service
This award recognizes chapters who have actively pursued and offered community service opportunities for members as a way to add value to the overall membership experience and illustrate Tri Delta’s dedication to unselfish leadership and service to others.

Winner: Epsilon Chapter at Knox College
Epsilon Chapter has built a strong culture of service, making community engagement a core part of the experience. Their dedication is evident not only through fundraising but with hands-on volunteer work like Muddy Madness. They take an active role in campus-wide events including mental health awareness, a carnival where they hosted a face-painting table, Homecoming Weekend events, alumni reunions and a 5K race. Over the past year, they’ve expanded service opportunities to ensure members can contribute in ways that align with their passions. Their commitment extends to local schools, serving as reading buddies, assisting with carnivals and supporting canned food drives.
