Merit and Need-Based Scholarships
Tri Delta offers undergraduate and graduate scholarships to help sisters cover tuition and living expenses so that they can focus on school instead of extra jobs or debt. Last year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, more than $670,000 in funding was awarded to 223 scholars, recognizing academic achievement, leadership and service.
This scholarship stands as a continuous reminder of the impact Tri Delta has had on my education and career. It motivates me to find ways to give back to my Tri Delta sisters and to pursue opportunities to represent Tri Delta in the community and world.

You could be next! Here’s what to know to get started:
- Tri Deltas of all ages are eligible to apply for graduate and undergraduate scholarships. You must be enrolled as a full-time student to be eligible.
- You can apply for a graduate scholarship even if you haven’t chosen a program or been accepted yet.
- One application makes you eligible to be considered for all available scholarships for which you qualify.
- You will need recommendations from both a chapter advisor and a faculty member.

Does my chapter have a scholarship designated for our members, and where should I start?

When should I start working on my scholarship application?
Winter break is an ideal time to begin preparing your scholarship application. With fewer academic demands, you’ll have uninterrupted time to gather required documents (like your transcript and letters of recommendation) and give your recommenders the information they need early.
- It’s likely that the alumna advisor (AA) and faculty member writing your recommendations are supporting other students as well, so be mindful of their time.
- You may jump ahead in your scholarship application to gather the details your recommenders will need and share them early. That way, while you’re working on your application, they can be working on your recommendation.
Many scholarship deadlines occur in the spring. Giving yourself an early deadline now will help you stay ahead and avoid last-minute stress for you and those assisting with your application.
How can I find my AA?
To access a list of your advisors and other support volunteers, go to My Tri Delta > Roles > Role List > Collegiate Volunteer List. There, you’ll find your chapter’s full volunteer support team and their contact information.
What do I do if I don’t have an AA?
Any chapter advisor may provide a recommendation if you do not have an AA. If your chapter does not have any advisors listed, please reach out to foundation@trideltaeo.org.
I’m going to be a fifth-year senior/taking graduate-level classes but still Active—which scholarship should I apply for?
If you will still be an Active member of your collegiate chapter next year, you should apply for an undergraduate scholarship, even if you are a fifth-year senior or taking graduate-level classes.
If you have graduated or are no longer an Active collegiate member, you should apply for a graduate scholarship.
Do I have to be a full-time student?
Yes, you must be enrolled and considered a full-time student at your institution to be eligible for a scholarship.
I am applying for a graduate scholarship, but don’t know where I am going and I haven’t been accepted, can I still apply?
Yes, if you a receive a scholarship, you will need to verify your enrollment prior to receiving the funds in August.
When will I receive the funds if selected?
All scholarships are paid in August and are meant to support you during the upcoming academic year.
When will I find out if I am a scholarship recipient?
All members who formally submit their application by the deadline will be notified of their status by June 1.
Should I apply?
Yes, we are proud to offer more than $650,000 in funding, with more than 220 scholarships to award!
