Convention 2026 in Review – Our Weekend Beneath the Pines

July 8, 2026
Events, Sisterhood

Nearly 700 Tri Deltas and friends gathered in Denver the weekend of July 26-28 for our 62nd Biennial Convention, celebrating our sisterhood, shaping the future of our Fraternity and honoring the impact of Tri Delta women across generations.

Throughout the weekend, attendees connected with sisters from across North America through shared meals, keynote sessions, intimate social gatherings and special celebrations. While we would have loved to box up the energy of the weekend and send it to all sisters, below are just a few highlights that made Convention so special.

Convention Begins!

We kicked off Convention on Friday, June 26, with the Opening Session, celebrating remarkable growth across Tri Delta. From welcoming our largest new member class ever and expanding with new chapters and homes to engaging more alumnae and welcoming sisters back through reinstatement, there was so much excitement to share. We also heard from Tri Delta CEO Mindy Tucker, Southern Methodist, about the inspiring vision for Tri Delta’s next strategic plan—focused on growth, engagement and building a future-ready organization.

Tri Delta Central and Partners

Tri Delta Central was buzzing with energy and served as the hub for connection, support and all things Tri Delta, including shopping logo wear and jewelry, registration and the Help Desk, exploring the Ginger Hicks Smith Museum & Archives, learning more about Tri Delta Housing, connecting with Tri Delta’s Foundation and stopping by for headshots. Convention also wouldn’t have been the same without the support of our valued partners, whose generosity and collaboration helped create an engaging and memorable experience for our attendees, and we are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to Tri Delta and our sisterhood.

Keynotes and Panels

The Women of Achievement panel, moderated by CEO Mindy Tucker, featured the following 2025 and 2026 Women of Achievement: AnnaMaria DeSalva, William and Mary; Sylvia Sydow Kerrigan, Southwestern; Ashley Wilson McClellan, Southern Methodist; Karen Lynch Parkhill, Southern Methodist. While every woman’s journey was unique, they agreed that Tri Delta gave each of them the confidence to become the leaders they are today. They shared stories of finding lifelong friendships, developing leadership skills, embracing resilience and discovering that a sister often sees your potential before you see it yourself. Learn more about each of them on our Let’s Talk Tri Delta podcast.

In a keynote centered around the theme of building a life you love, Loretta Soffe, California/Berkeley (sponsored by BNY Wealth), challenged attendees to rethink choosing between a meaningful career and a fulfilling personal life, posing the following question: How do we lift each other up and hold ourselves and one another accountable in building lives aligned with what truly matters? Speaking from her 25-year career at Nordstrom—as well as her experience building a 25+ year marriage, raising three children, launching a consulting practice and authoring “Balance Is BS: Your Roadmap to a Thriving Marriage, Grounded Kids & Career Success”—Loretta shared candid lessons from her life lived at full speed. Loretta reminded the audience that ambition and a meaningful life are not mutually exclusive, and we don’t have to choose between them. We simply have to give ourselves permission to build both.

With humor, honesty and plenty of relatable comics and stories, Cathy Guisewite, Michigan, connected with women across every generation. Drawing from her iconic “Cathy” comic strip, she reflected on the universal pressures that women face, from body image and relationships to ambition, self-doubt and the balance between heart and head. Through her signature “heels versus flats” analogy, she reminded attendees that life is often lived in the space between who we are and whom we think we should be. Cathy also spoke about the lasting impact of friendship, sisterhood and the sense of belonging she found in Tri Delta. She left attendees with a simple but powerful message—laughter, community and authentic connection help us through every stage of life.

Leadership Programming

More than 60 collegiate officers from 30 chapters attended Tri Delta’s first in-person Growth Summit! They shared recruitment and marketing ideas, formed concrete plans to grow their chapters and learned how to promote the sorority experience and build a strong chapter brand. Attendees left with actionable steps to share Tri Delta’s membership and presence on campus and shared that they felt energized, informed and more passionate about recruitment.

Awards, Business, Installation and Initiation Educational sessions

Offered throughout the weekend provided a powerful mix of inspiration, reflection and practical tools for personal and professional growth. These sessions equipped members with tangible strategies and fresh perspectives, from “Your Personal Brand” with April Mathis Voris, Alabama, and “Tackling Perfectionism, Imposter Syndrome and Burnout” with Katherine Collins Neal, Wake Forest, to Judy Barton and Lesley Holland from our sponsors at BNY Wealth discussing “Financial Confidence and Legacy.”

Amid all the fun, we did have a little business to do. Delegates participated in the important work of our Fraternity, including approving the 2026-28 Executive Board slate and shaping the direction of our organization’s future during the Business Meeting. Through thoughtful preparation, clear expectations and extensive materials provided in advance, delegates were equipped to engage fully and confidently in the business of Tri Delta.

Celebrations are one of the most joyful parts of Convention, as well as one of the most meaningful times to be recognized by peers. The 10- and 25-year membership milestone ceremonies, Alumnae Initiation and Volunteer Service Awards brought a lot of heart and energy to the weekend.

Join us in celebrating Tri Delta’s Volunteer Service Award winners and 2026 Ernestine Block Grigsby Award recipient Dione DuBois Colón, Arizona State. Learn more about all our winners and the meaningful impact they made throughout the past year.

Visit our Courtesy Kudos board, where you can read the messages of appreciation and recognition shared throughout the weekend.

Sisterhood Time

Convention also provided time to slow down, explore and enjoy this year’s destination with friends, old and new. From poolside downtime to hiking excursions and everything in between, attendees made the most of being together outside of sessions.

Evenings filled with classic snacks and games also brought out plenty of laughs! One favorite event from the weekend was Sisterhood at Sunset (sponsored by Minky Couture), where members wrapped themselves in cozy blankets, ate s’mores, drank Tri Delta-themed drinks and assembled 2,000 activity bags for patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—each including a Tri Delta Brave, Bold and Kind bracelet. Convention wrapped up with a sparkling celebration full of dancing, great food and conversations under the stars. From head-to-toe sequins to plenty of shimmer, members embraced the theme and ended the week celebrating friendship, service and the memories they made together.

Making an Impact

We are thrilled to announce that sisters and friends supported Tri Delta’s Foundation throughout the weekend, raising $28,292 from 126 donors. These donors included new members of the Friendship Society, increased support to join the Stars & Crescent Society and every attendee who entered one of our exciting raffle drawings. Your support at every level makes a meaningful difference.

Every attendee made our weekend beneath the pines unforgettable! If you missed Convention, just know two things—you missed out … and you were missed. We hope you’ll join us when we head to Las Vegas June 23-25, 2028! Watch a sneak peek of what’s in store!

Till we meet again!
