Each month, Tri Delta publishes In Memoriam, highlighting the lives of some of our Distinguished Deltas and longtime volunteers and sharing a full list of sisters who have recently passed away. Below is the In Memoriam for September 2021.
Virginia Pemberton Edwards, Missouri
On Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, Virginia (Ginni) Pemberton Edwards, loyal alumna and former Tri Delta volunteer, passed away on her 90th birthday. Ginni graduated from the University of Missouri in 1953 and was a proud member of Tri Delta, serving as district president in 1976-1986.
In addition to Tri Delta, Ginni was passionate about her communities and the dear friends that made them special. She was on the board of John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida, where she resided in winter and spring. Ginni was a frequent golfer and took pride in being out on the course even in her later years. In the summer and fall, Ginni resided in Arrowhead Country Club in Edwards, Colorado, where she loved to admire the beauty of the mountains and nature. Ginni was known for her quick wit, her strength of character, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
