FAQs

WHAT DO ALUMNAE DUES SUPPORT?

Your alumnae dues directly support:

  • The continued publication of our award-winning Trident magazine—both online and in print.
  • Executive Board, volunteer and Executive Office staff support for collegiate and alumnae members and chapters.
  • Care and preservation of Tri Delta’s history and archives.
  • Leadership and life skills training for collegiate and alumnae members, including programs that promote mental health, body positivity and career readiness.
  • Online learning and networking offered through Tri Delta’s exclusive digital platforms: My Learning & Resources and My Tri Delta.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE CONSIDERED AN ACTIVE ALUMNA?

To maintain Active membership status, alumnae must pay their annual alumnae dues to Tri Delta. When an alumnae member is not current on their annual dues, they are considered Inactive.

WHAT DOES AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP PROVIDE ALUMNAE?

Choosing to be an Active member by paying annual alumnae dues unlocks access to writing references, the latest news from Tri Delta, volunteer opportunities and connections to our vibrant community while helping keep Tri Delta strong for the next generation.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE SILVER OR GOLD BENEFITS?

Silver or Gold level benefits are added to your Active membership for an additional $35 or $70 annually. Once you level up, you immediately start receiving benefits from Tri Delta associated with each level. Your membership benefits are good for one calendar year.

WHAT BEEFITS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH EACH MEMBERSHIP LEVEL?

See the graphic below to understand the benefits of membership at each available level.

HOW DO I PAY MY ALUMNAE CHAPTER DUES THROUGH MY TRI DELTA?

When it’s time to pay your annual dues and renew your membership in your chapter, simply visit your My Tri Delta portal. There, you can pay chapter and Fraternity dues all in one easy checkout. Check out the Alumnae Dues Step by Step Guide in the Resource Library.

I LIVE IN CANADA AND WANT TO JOIN AN ALUMNAE CHAPTER. CAN I USE THE CENTRALIZED DUES PROCESS TO PAY BOTH SETS OF DUES?

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to collect and distribute funds to bank accounts outside of the United States. We hope to find a solution to incorporate Canadian alumnae chapter dues into the centralized dues process in the future. In the meantime, the contact information for our Canadian Alumnae Chapters can be found on their websites through the Find a Chapter tool.

WHY DO ALUMNAE CHAPTER MEMBERS ALSO PAY FRATERNITY DUES?

Alumnae chapter experiences are a valuable connection point for engaging our alumnae members. The Fraternity continues to expand opportunities, technology, resources and staff and volunteer support for alumnae engagement, all in support of our alumnae chapters.

Dues collected help provide:

  • Alumnae initiatives in the areas of personal and professional development and networking.
  • Alumnae chapter volunteer support.
  • Staff support to assist with accessing resources, database lists, etc.
  • Access to the member database and contact information.
  • Resources to host and produce events, including Founders’ Day, Pansy Celebration, Ritual ceremonies, etc.
  • Support in the care and keeping of Tri Delta’s archives and history.
  • Tri Delta and alumnae chapter websites.
  • Subsidized Convention fees.
  • Chapter officer education and training.
  • Tax filing support.
  • Legal support.
  • Use of the Tri Delta brand, name and creative assets.
  • A technology platform to support the centralized dues process.

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO LIFE LOYAL MEMBERS?

Life Loyal members continue to be recognized as lifetime dues-paying members and will receive the same benefits as those who pay the Active membership dues annually. For any Life Loyal members who wish to add benefits, such as the annual printed Trident magazine or Triannual Update, they may do so through the My Tri Delta portal at $35 for Silver and $70 for Gold.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY DUES TO RECEIVE MEMBER BENEFITS, LIKE WRITING A REFERENCE?

Tri Delta is, at its most basic definition, a member organization like Junior League, AAA or local service clubs. Just like other groups you may be part of, annual dues are required for access to benefits of membership. In Tri Delta and across much of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), while we speak of “lifetime membership,” there has not been a requirement nor expectation of lifetime dues.

To help Tri Delta continue to grow, to keep our sisterhood strong for generations to come and to make the collegiate experience more affordable, we must ask for the financial support of our alumnae. Your alumnae dues support Tri Delta staff and the secure technology platform that make the reference process possible. Dues help fund recruitment support for collegiate chapters and ensure that references can be submitted and delivered quickly and efficiently.
